Is Bamboo Hardwood Flooring Good?

Bamboo hardwood floors are a good choice, as it rates harder and
more durable than many of the classic hard wood floors.  With chosing bamboo flooring your cosumer dollars are voting for a better environment.

situations far better than any wood, expanding and contracting 50
percent less than it’s rivels this makes a big difference expecially

This is highly renewable resouce as it grows so fast some species can
grow to their full hieght, that is some cases can exceeding 60 ft
depending on the type,in just two months. Although bamboo can be grown
in many countries the bulk of it for flooring comes from china’s
forests. Other hardwood choices, such as oak and cherry, require trees
to be cut down that would take over fifty years or more to replace.
 
Bamboo flooring comes from the stem of the bamboo grass.  Boards are
created when the hollow round shoots of bamboo are sliced into strips
these are then boiled to remove the starch, then dried,
 to make a plank, they are pressed strips are laminated together in
either a vertical or horizontal grain pattern. The manufacturing
process produces flooring planks that are very strong, durable and
flexible and will last for the life of the home.

As for Bamboo flooring durability it lasts for years and is reputed to
be as strong as steel. It is much stronger than any other material
used in wood flooring, this durability makes bamboo perfect for use on
floors, it is stronger than linoleum flooring and more comfortable to
walk on than stone flooring. The weight, feel and density of this
material are nearly the same as real hardwood, bamboo flooring is
good.
 

Cleaning Bamboo Flooring
Remove dust and dirt with a broom or dust mop. You can clean the floor
using a water and vinegar solution containing 4 parts water to 1 part
vinegar. To do this, use a barely damp sponge mop. Dry the floor right
away with a towel. Don’t allow the floor to become soaking wet, as
although bamboo likes water more than other hard woods, this can still
damage the bamboo.
Use a damp cloth for occasional spills or sticky spots. After you wipe
up the spill, dry it with a towel right away. If the floor becomes
dull, you can buff it with a buff sander to restore the shine. With
proper care, your new floor will last for many years to come.
